How to Prepare for League Picture Day!
We want your picture day experience to be as pleasant and fun as it can be! Here are a few tips for both parents and coaches to help the day run smoothly:
PARENTS:
1. Arrive on time! Its best to show up about 10 minutes before your scheduled picture time. This allows us to run on time and keep everyone from being late to practice or games. We will start when the entire team is present along with coach(es). If you are running late and your team has already gone through, we may be able to get you in after the next team in line has finished. We will not drop a player in the middle of another team's picture time.
2. Adding on to that, we do not allow drop ins simply because you don't like your picture time. Having single players woven in and out of the picture schedule holds up our post-processing workflow and makes it extra difficult to keep all players within the correct team group. If there is an extenuating circumstance where you simply CANNOT make your picture time, we may be able to accomodate something if you reach out in advance.
3. Please make sure your child doesn't consume anything that will stain their mouth/teeth beforehand. 😆 We've had plenty of blue/red mouths come through, and we don't photoshop that. ;)
4. Get spiffy! Our photographers try to catch crooked shorts, untucked shirts, or hair ties on wrists, but we don't always catch everything! It would be incredibly helpful if before lining up with the coach, parents can have their child's shirts tucked in, shorts on straight and any strings tucked in, and scrunchies or hair ties removed from wrists if they don't want them in the photo.
5. Our photography area is *Players & Coaches Only.* We love our parents - we truly do! However, to ensure the process goes swiftly, players get in and out, and our photographers have room to work, we ask that parents stay behind and allow the coaches to bring the players into the photography area. As soon as their photo is taken, they are free to go unless coach needs them for something else.
6. We love sibling photos!! If you want your kids to have a sibling photo taken, ensure that the siblings line up with whichever of their team you choose. They will have their photo taken after all the individual photos.
COACHES:
1. Have your parents arrive 10 minutes before picture time. Find a spot to congregate and gather your team, check in with our table/head photographer (usually the person with the clipboard lol) so we know you are here and we can grab you when we're ready to stage your team.
2. Please ensure parents stay behind and only coaches & players come into the photography area. We will allow ONE team mom to come to help with fixing hair/shirts/etc.
3. We try to get a rack card with our gallery and contact info into everyone's hands. We ask that the coaches take a photo of our contact info and put it into their team's group chat so any questions can be deflected directly to us. We don't want you to have to field all the questions too - coaching is hard enough!
4. We will run through our pre-chosen series of poses on all the individual players, then an individual of each coach. (These individual images will be composited into a team photo.) After individuals, coach/kid and any sibling photos will be done at the end. Coach kids will go at the end of the individual players so we can get the coach/kid photo at the same time.
